Faros coast and lighthouse context
Use Faros for the coast, and treat the lighthouse as a separate landmark associated with the archaeological area. A coastal map pin does not establish a public shortcut into that area.
Format: Coastal outing
Why follow this sequence
Use Faros for the coast, and treat the lighthouse as a separate landmark associated with the archaeological area. A coastal map pin does not establish a public shortcut into that area.
Stops and choices
- Faros Beach
Make Faros a coast-and-beach stop rather than assuming it provides entry to the archaeological park or lighthouse. Decide whether you are walking or swimming before choosing footwear and the return route.
- Pafos Lighthouse
See the lighthouse as part of the archaeological landscape. Do not assume that a coastal path gives free access to the park or that the tower can be climbed; those are separate access questions.
Practical decisions
Do not enter park boundaries from the beach. To approach the lighthouse, use the authorised archaeological-site entrance and current access instructions.
